Art
At Tendring Primary School, we believe art is for everyone and provides children with a powerful way to explore ideas, express themselves and see the world differently.
Our art curriculum builds confidence and creativity as pupils experiment, take risks and develop skills across drawing, painting and mixed media, craft and design and 3D sculpture. Through the seven elements of art, children learn how artwork is created, refined and evaluated. We encourage thoughtful, curious artists who reflect on their own work and that of others, valuing the creative process as much as the final outcome. By exploring art from different cultures and times, we aim for every child to develop a lifelong appreciation of art and the confidence to express their individuality.
