At Tendring Primary School, Design and Technology is a creative and hands-on subject where children are encouraged to build, design and create with confidence and curiosity. We value imagination, problem-solving and practical skills, giving pupils the freedom to explore ideas and work collaboratively as part of a team.

Our DT lessons empower children to take risks, test ideas and learn from both success and failure in a supportive environment. Through meaningful design challenges, pupils develop resilience, teamwork and pride in their work, while learning how their ideas can be turned into real products.  By fostering creativity and collaboration, our Design and Technology curriculum helps children develop skills for the future while nurturing enjoyment, independence and a love of making.
