Science
At Tendring, we encourage children to be naturally curious and develop a sense of wonder about the world around them. Science enables pupils to make sense of the world through enquiry, investigation and critical thinking.
Children develop scientific knowledge alongside the skills needed to question, explore and problem-solve. Key topics are revisited across year groups, allowing understanding to deepen and build on prior learning.
Scientific enquiry skills are embedded throughout all science topics and developed progressively over time. Pupils are encouraged to use scientific language, computing and a range of investigative techniques. Through rich learning experiences, we prepare children for life in an increasingly scientific and technological world.
